I instructed Bo to dot all the ones with yellow, all the twos with red, all the threes with green, and all the fours with blue.

How to Make a DIY Do a Dot Christmas Math Color by Number Activity

Follow along with these directions to make your own DIY Christmas color by number worksheet that you can customize to work with kids of all ages.

This version is designed for preschool kids, but older kids can use larger numbers or even math problems to find out what color to make each part of the Christmas tree.

Do a Dot markers
Pencil or pen
Paper
Laminating sheets (optional)

Instructions

Here is how to design your own Christmas color by number worksheet!

Cut out the shape of a Christmas tree from cardstock paper (white ideally).

I like to draw my trees by making three triangles stack on top of each other in progressively larger sizes (I start at the top). It's easy, and looks pretty good!

Write the numbers that you want to use for your dot marker Christmas tree on the tree outline.

Write the code for the color by number worksheet at the top of the page indicating which number should be which color.

If desired, you can laminate the Christmas tree so you can reuse it over and over.
