How to Make an Octopus Letter Craft
Help children learn about the letter O and ocean creatures at the same time. Kids will love making this O is for octopus letter craft. There is more to learn with an octopus than just the letter O!
Get your template and activity pack above, then come back and complete the steps to make your own octopus craft from the letter O!
Print the template onto computer paper, then trace the design onto construction paper. I used green, but there aren’t any limits on what color an octopus can be.

Red, blue, pink, brown, anything goes, really. You’ll also want to cut out eight strips of paper to become the octopus’s tentacles. Each child will also need two googly eyes.
Show the kids how to draw Os into the tentacles to make them look a little more lifelike.
Glue the tentacles to the bottom of the O and the eyes to the middle of the O on either side.

Draw on a smile and your octopus craft is done! Let the kids take them home, or you could make an entire fleet of octopi in the classroom while studying the letter O. It’s a great visual for kids learning their letters!
