The letter E has always been one of my favorite letters. I don’t know why exactly, but I’ve always liked it even from a young age! With these fun alphabet crafts, you can make learning the alphabet fun again. This time, we’re showing our version of an E is for elephant letter craft. Transform a basic paper E into a delightful pink elephant! Kids will be tickled at how this letter can quickly look like an elephant with just a few easy paper additions. Use the free template to make cutting the Es out a whole lot easier. This lesson would be perfect for E week in preschool, kindergarten, or at day cares or church schools. I just love how it turned out!

What you’ll need to make the E is for elephant alphabet craft:

  • Letter E template
  • Glue sticks
  • Scissors
  • Googly eyes
  • Construction paper
  • Marker

Kids will love transforming the letter D into a fun and happy dog with this D is for dog letter craft! This activity fits in with all alphabet crafts.

First, print the letter E template onto pink paper or regular computer paper. Cut out the template and use it to cut out as many Es as you need. Typically I can cut out about six at a time without messing up the design.

You’ll also want to cut out a trunk and an ear for each kid. I love this design because there are less things to cut out than some of our other alphabet crafts!

Each child will also need one googly eye.

Give the kids their Es, the ear, the trunk, and the eye. Draw a mouth on the center section of the E, and add the trunk to the top. Add the ear to the top left of the E and glue the eye to the side of the ear.

That’s it! Your letter E is now a beautiful pink elephant. Let the kids take them home, or display them in your classroom!
