Where Can I Buy Supplies for Kids Crafts?
We all know that you can buy just about anything on Amazon, but for ethical reasons, many people are deciding to no longer purchase supplies from Amazon. I like to shop for craft supplies at teacher stores and small businesses, when possible.
Here are my favorite places to buy craft supplies for space craft activities:
Oriental Trading Company is still one of my favorite places to pick up craft supplies. I love that they often have supplies in bulk, which makes it much more classroom friendly.
Discount School Supplies also has a lot of craft supplies in bulk for affordable prices and they are always offering discounts and sales!
For unique themed crafts, I love Kid Made Modern. The craft supplies are designed to inspire creativity in kids and the themes are so much fun!
Of course, if you want to be sure you always have craft supplies coming in, why not sign up for a craft subscription box? These are my kids’ favorite craft boxes to receive every month:
Elementary Artist Box- I love this box because it focuses on introducing different art concepts to kids, and it goes beyond simple cut and paste crafts.
Kids Craft of the Month– This box is fun because each box has a unique craft theme and my kids love trying to guess what the next theme will be!
Craft+Boogie Box– This craft box has a fun theme each month and is designed for kids and adults to do together, which is a fun bonding activity to try at home. At our house, my teen and elementary kiddo do the activities together.

How to Store Craft Supplies in the Classroom
I like to have all of my craft supplies in one place, and I really like the use of open-top containers. Amazon has some really cool storage options for craft supplies in the classroom, including this Craft tower storage bin.
Another practical option that’s a little smaller is this open-top cubby shelf.
And if you like your craft storage to be mobile, this craft cart is sturdy enough for daily use and has a lot of storage options for all sorts of craft supplies!
Fun Frog Facts for Kids
Here are some fun frog facts for kids!
There are over 7,000 known species of frogs worldwide. From tiny poison dart frogs to hefty bullfrogs, the diversity of these amphibians provides endless inspiration for scientists and artists alike.
While some frog species live only a few years, others can survive for decades.
Frogs come in a kaleidoscope of colors, from vibrant greens and blues to striking reds and yellows.
Throughout history, frogs have been depicted in art, mythology, and folklore around the world.
From ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs to modern-day paintings, frogs have captivated human imagination for centuries.
Unusual Types of Frogs
Here are some types of frogs that your students might not know exist!
The smallest amphibian in the world is the Paedophryne amauensis. It’s the tiniest known frog and the smallest animal with a backbone. This frog is about the size of a fly.
Another unusual frog is the Ornate Horned Frog (Ceratophrys ornata). Scientists call it the “Pacman” frog because it’s always eating.
Most frogs don’t have hair, but the hairy frog (Trichobatrachus robustus) does. It looks more like a dinosaur than most other frogs. This frog is also called the “wolverine frog” or “horror frog” because it can break its own toe bones and push them through its skin to use as claws for protection.
Wallace’s flying frog (Rhacophorus nigropalmatus) has special membranes between its toes that work like wings, letting it glide from tree to tree.
Another cool frog is the glass frog (Cochranella pulverata). It has see-through skin, so you can see all its internal organs from the outside.
Some frogs are great at hiding. The Surinam toad (Pipa pipa) can blend into its surroundings because it looks just like a dead leaf.
Frog Craft STEM Extensions
Let’s hop into some STEM-tastic extensions alongside our frog art projects, where creativity meets science, technology, engineering, and mathematics! 🐸🔬
Dive deeper into the world of frogs by studying their anatomy, physiology, and life cycles. Students can dissect frog specimens to explore internal structures firsthand, gaining valuable insights into organ systems and biological adaptations.
Investigate the chemistry of pigments and color mixing as students create their frog-inspired artworks.
Apply mathematical concepts such as symmetry, proportion, and geometry to create visually striking frog art. Students can use mathematical modeling to design frog habitats, calculate surface area and volume, and explore fractal patterns inspired by nature.
Students can design and build frog-inspired structures such as bridges, dams, and water filtration systems, applying principles of biomimicry to create innovative solutions to real-world problems.
