Directions to Make Slime with Borax and Soap
Making slime with borax and soap is easy! Here’s how to do it:
First make a borax solution. Add one teaspoon of borax powder to 1 cup of water and stir.
Next, mix 1/2 a cup of glue, a tablespoon of soap, and your food coloring in a bowl.
Once that is mixed, drop in a bit of the borax liquid (about a tablespoon).
The slime will start to form instantly.
Keep stirring the slime and if it is still sticky, you can add a little more borax liquid.
Be careful, though, because you can easily add too much borax liquid and the slime will become stiffer than is usual for slime and it will be more like our homemade bouncy balls.
The soap will help prevent this from happening as much, however.
Borax slime will stay stretchy for several days if stored in an airtight container. You can add a bit more borax liquid to the slime if it starts to get runny again.
