Third grade is a huge transition grade for kids. In this grade, they are moving from primary learning to secondary learning, and for many kids, third grade is the first year they get a big standardized test.
Third grade is a time for applied learning, and a really fun time to show kids how the knowledge they learn in school can be applied in the real world to solve problems.
Many third graders are starting to realize that the world isn’t a perfect place and want to do something about it.
STEM activities can help children see that science, techology, and what they have learned in school can be applied and used to make the world a better place!
I like to bring in seasonal STEM activities to help kids who may be reluctant to do science experiments. Adding a fun seasonal element always makes things more fun!
This winter, why not add these winter STEM activities for 3rd grade to your activity list?
